Fletcher Miller, a Harvard-educated son of a wealthy Colorado ranch family, aspires to become the next governor of Colorado. Never one to have much self-restraint or awareness of his limits, he lives a life with few morals, many excesses, and little regard for anyone who might derail his path. During a moment of intoxicated inattention, the trajectory of his campaign hits a roadblock. Teetering on the edge of ruin, his “fixer” and his wife must quickly act before everything spirals uncontrollably, ending his career and freedom.

He desperately vents his emotions towards the picture of his wife on the passenger’s seat, engaging in fervent arguments with this inanimate representation of “her.” In his tortured state, he contends that he committed acts of violence in the name of love.
